Sarah Bollinger is part-time potter based in Nashville, TN. Focusing on small-batch, functional ceramics, Sarah’s pieces are all wheel thrown, hand decorated, and fired with love in her small backyard studio. She first fell in love with clay in college where she learned the basics of throwing, glazing, and firing, and then rekindled her passion for ceramics when she was gifted pottery classes many years later. Sarah was the recipient of the 2022 Master Artist Apprentice Program (MAAP) award through Tennessee Craft and Tennessee Arts Commission, and this apprenticeship program was instrumental in helping her on her pottery journey.
When she is not making pottery in her backyard studio, Sarah works as a psychotherapist in private practice. Her MSW is from New York University and her PhD in Social Work is from Washington University in St. Louis.
