This year, Saray Taylor-Roman, a Knoxville portrait photographer of Taylor-Roman Photography, won best photo in the teen and senior category for the 2019 Portrait Masters International Photo Competition. But she was shocked to see that she kept on winning and winning, claiming the top six spots in teen and senior category.

The annual Portrait Masters Competition is hosted by the Sue Bryce Education program, an online-based photography program to advance skills and expertise in portraiture. This year there were 8609 photos submitted by photographers all over the world, to eight categories: creative, family, newborn, children’s, contemporary, teen and senior, and boudoir. These photographs are then judged anonymously by 11 judges and given a total composite score. The photos scored the highest win first, then second and so on. Only the top 20 photos in each category are featured on the website.

For the category of Teen and Senior, Mrs. Taylor-Roman won 1st place, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. She continues winning by claiming the 8th, 13th and 18th spot as well. She also won 7th place in Contemporary and 5th and 17th place in Boudoir. You can see her work at www.taylorroman.com, on Instagram and Facebook.
