Information Technology Director
Mike Chambers has the role of managing all the computer appliances, software licenses, and Apple technology utilized by the Tennessee Arts Commission. In his position, he oversees network security, ensures software licensing compliance, and creates code for the online grant system.
Mike is Microsoft certified and a member of the ITMA (Information Technology Management Association). He holds four Bachelor’s degrees—in Computer Science, General Business, Statistics, and Finances, and has completed Master’s work at Tennessee Technological University. Prior to his current position, he worked as a manager in the state Department of Children’s Services and the Department of Finance. In addition, Mike previously ran his own business, and worked for companies such as BlueCross BlueShield, Semantic, and SCB Computer Technology.
