2020 Tennessee Arts & Arts Education Conference
June 8-10, 2020
Marion County, Tennessee
including conference locations in the towns of Jasper, Kimball, South Pittsburg, and Whitwell
The conference will bring together arts administrators, educators, artists and community leaders for a full two days of learning and sharing around the theme of Asset-Based Community Development and Education (ABCDE). ABCDE is an approach used in community organizing and youth development focusing on assets, rather than deficits, to achieve positive outcomes. The conference will recognize the arts as among the key assets in Tennessee by highlighting programs that bring forth the unique strengths of individuals and communities through the arts. Professional development will include best practices, strategies in arts management and education, lesson demonstrations, collaborative work, networking and more. Information about the asset-based approach is available here.
