2015 Grant Workshops

The Tennessee Arts Commission is conducting a series of grants workshops across the state to inform the public of funding opportunities and other programs offered by the agency. These workshops are informational meetings for potential and current constituents, nonprofit organizations, local government agencies, Tennessee teachers and artists.

Attendees will learn about grant opportunities and the application process, state arts resources, accessibility strategies and the Arts Education Teaching Artist Roster.

Presenting at the East TN workshops will be Commission staff Krishna Adams, Lee Baird, Ann Brown, Dana Everts-Boehm, Shannon Ford, Jared Morrison and Hal Partlow.

In addition to the following East TN workshops, the Commission will hold events in Middle and West TN with details available at a later date.

East Tennessee Workshops:

Each session to last 1.5 hours

August 19 at 1 p.m. EST — Knoxville

Participants are invited to stay afterwards for a free community viewing of the National Association of State Arts Agencies webinar “Engaging Millennials” at 3 p.m.

Parking is limited at the Hunter, but participants can also utilize the parking lot at the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts, next door.

With the mission to cultivate the arts for the benefit of all Tennesseans and their communities, the Commission funds a variety of arts projects through several grant categories. Each year, these grants help fund the arts and cultural activities in all 95 counties for more than 600 organizations, schools, local governments, nonprofits and artists.
