Arts Access Mini-Grant Open in FY2022

By Kim Johnson, Director of Arts Access

After a one-year hiatus, the Commission is pleased to announce that the Arts Access Mini-Grant is open in Fiscal Year 2022 for projects occurring between July 1, 2021 through June 15, 2022. The Arts Access Mini-Grant category offers direct support for arts projects focusing on increasing access to underserved and underrepresented people, which may include ethnic groups, people with disabilities, people ages 60 years and older, and active duty military/veterans and their families. Ethnic groups are defined as Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander or other groups that constitute less than the state’s current majority population.

The Commission awards Arts Access Mini-Grants in amounts ranging from $500 to $1,000. These Mini-Grants are smaller grants designed to introduce new applicants to the grant making process and are currently available only to organizations not receiving TN Arts Commission funding. Arts Access Mini-Grants do not require a match. The application deadline is 30 days prior to the start date of the project activity, and applications are reviewed and approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
