The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon, 2007 (detail)
archival pigmented print #3/30, 24 x 18 inches, 2015.65.11

Nashville native, Nebhut studied at Santa Fe and Nashville Photographic Workshops. Her work is in collections including the Tennessee State Museum, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Cornerstone Building, Belle Meade City Hall, Alive Hospice, Inc., and Blair School of Music: Vanderbilt University.

My goal now is to shoot still lifes with the aim of blurring the lines between photography and painting. Curators have suggested that my work resembles 17th Spanish century still lifes, especially because of my love of black ink. – Nebhut
