From Hal Partlow, Associate Director of Grants –

TN Arts Commission in partnership with the TN Department of Veterans Services presented a session at the 2018 Tennessee Arts & Arts Education Conference called TN Military and the Arts. Several organizations participated and shared the work they were currently doing for active military, veterans and their families. Their stories were filmed and are now posted on our website.

We hope that the videos will be helpful to those interested in building arts programming for TN military, veterans and their families. The organizations represented in the videos include Carpetbag Theatre, Writers Corp and Operation Song. Many-Bears Grinder, Commissioner of the TN Department of Veteran Services also participated in the session and offered insight on the arts from a military perspective.
