Register by May 31 to Secure Your Conference T-Shirt

From Ann Brown, Suzanne Lynch and Nieya Murray, Conference Co-chairs –

The 2018 TN Arts & Arts Education Conference is just over a month away. It’s time to finalize our numbers and place orders for T-shirts, programs, name tags, etc. We don’t want you to miss out on getting your free shirt. Register by May 31 to secure your size and availability. It will be a great item to have on hand for making art.

As in past years, the conference offers hands-on art-making sessions. Have you always wanted to try improv? Ukulele? Square dancing? There are over ten options to choose from and most repeat so you can try a couple of things.

Additionally, it wouldn’t be an arts conference without guest artists. Before Wednesday’s Mindbender plenary, jazz singer, Connye Florance will be performing “Defining Divas,” a tribute to the great female jazz singers in honor of African-American Music Month. Before Thursday’s Mindbenders plenary, the Nashville Ballet will present a new piece created just for the conference.

Lastly, the Cumberland Winds Jazz Combo will provide music for the reception. The reception will be held at the Customs House Museum in downtown Clarksville starting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20.
