NEA Chairman Chu to visit Tennessee August 22-23

The Tennessee Arts Commission is honored and pleased to welcome National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Chairman Jane Chu to Nashville, Tennessee August 22-23. The NEA is currently celebrating their 50th Anniversary and  Chairman Chu is traveling to many states to see how organizations are actively engaging, serving and promoting the arts.

While in Nashville, Chairman Chu will be touring several NEA grantee organizations. On Monday morning, Chairman Chu will visit Metro Nashville Arts Commission and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC).

There will be a Town Hall at the Nashville Children’s Theatre, 25 Middleton St, Nashville, TN 37210 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. that is free and open to the public. Please register for a seat here. After Chairman Chu’s remarks, there will be a Q&A session with the Chairman facilitated by TN Arts Executive Director, Anne B. Pope. Audience members will be invited to ask questions.

On Monday afternoon, Chairman Chu will visit the Youth Opportunities Center, the Nashville Symphony and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
