Call for Statewide Arts Conference Session Proposals

DEADLINE APPROACHING — SUMBIT YOUR PROPOSAL TODAY

ConfDistanceInfographicThe 2016 statewide arts conference Collective Impact will be held in Murfreesboro, June 7-10, and the Commission is currently seeking session proposals. The conference  will offer attendees information, guidance and expertise on how to address community issues through the arts. Is this your area? Are you currently working as a change agent in your community? If so, consider joining us and presenting a session. There are many different types of sessions to choose from:

  • Sparkplug  – jump start professional development or spark interest in a variety of topics
  • Birds of a Feather – peer-to-peer loosely facilitated conversations
  • Arts Experiences as Birds of a Feather – classes in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, and folk/ethnic art forms in which participants complete a finished art work
  • Pecha Kucha  – slideshow of 20 slides timed at 20 seconds each for a fast-paced presentation lasting 6 minutes and 40 seconds
  • Knowledge Café #1-3 – open conversation on a topic of mutual interest to surface collective knowledge, share ideas and gain deeper understanding 
  • Arts and Community Issues  –  showcase stellar examples and strategies for addressing community issues through the arts.
  • Digging Deeper: Learning from the Field –  explore topics in-depth
