Amy Rhodes

Term: 2018-2023, Congressional District 8

Amy Plunkett Rhodes was appointed to the Tennessee Arts Commission in 2018. She has been a community volunteer and board member in Memphis since 2002. Amy currently serves on the Shelby Farms Park Conservancy board and the University of Tennessee Alliance of Women Philanthropists board. Prior she served on the board of the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf, Christ Methodist Day School, St. Mary’s Episcopal School, University of Memphis Advisory Board and the LeBonheur Children’s Hospital Advisory Board.

Amy previously worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist from 1993 until 2001. She was past president of Subsidium, Inc., the fundraising arm of the Memphis Oral School for the Deaf. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Memphis State University.
