TN Arts Conference Grant Application Deadline is May 23

We are offering Special Opportunities grants to assist with allowable expenses for attending the 2018 Tennessee Arts & Arts Education Conference, Design Thinking: A Pathway to Innovation in the Arts presented by the TN Arts Commission and hosted by the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts. The conference will be held on the on the campus of Austin Peay State University (APSU) in Clarksville June 19-21, 2018.

The deadline to apply for this Special Opportunities grant is Wednesday, May 23, 2018. This grant opportunity will be funded based on accurately completed submissions on a first-come, first-served basis, and will close when all funds are allocated or by the deadline, whichever comes first. Read the grant guidelines before beginning an application.

The grant will provide up to $500 for individual applicants or up to $750 for organizational applicants registering a minimum of 2 or more staff toward registration fees and travel to attend the conference. Organizational applicants may register a single staff member but should adjust their request to a maximum of $500.

The Special Opportunity grant category assists individual Tennesseans or arts and non-arts organizations with funding support for participation in activities or projects identified by the TN Arts Commission that provide professional development and skills-building activities which contribute to the arts sector. Applicants must make a compelling case as to why their participation will have a substantial impact on their work and/or community.
